Madame Tutli-Putli

This is a short film (2007) about a woman (Madame Tutli-Putli) that boards a night train (the train to the after life?) with all her earthly possessions. As the journey continues into slowly turns nightmarish. Apparently the whole stop-motion film, just around 17 minutes in length, took nearly four years of collaboration to finish. You can read some reviews of the film here.

The whole film is rich in suggestions and meanings. I’m personally still trying to figure out what the moth is a metaphor for. Is it supposed to be her guiding / protecting angel or does it have a more sinister meaning? Any ideas?
